In 1968, Special Olympics invited the world to let go of limiting views, prejudices and misconceptions about people with intellectual disabilities and embrace the idea that they are respected, valued, contributing members of society.
Today, the Special Olympics movement includes more than 3 million athletes who train and compete in 30 sports in more than 180 countries around the world. Despite that growth, there are more than 190 million people around the world the movement has not yet reached. Your willingness to support Special Olympics will give these athletes the chance to make their dreams come true.
Individual donors, corporate partners and many others make it possible for Special Olympics athletes to have the opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy through participation in our program.
The Corporate Challenge is a professionally run, volunteer driven, Olympic style competition involving as many as 22 athletic and non-athletic events. Each year, employees, spouses, managers, retirees and volunteers from the Richardson area business community take part in the City of Richardson’s Corporate Challenge. The event kicks off in late August with an opening ceremony and, after seven weeks of competition, ends with a closing ceremony in early October.
WE APPRECIATE ALL OF THE CORPORATE CHALLENGE PARTICIPANTS AND YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF OUR PROGRAM!
